How to identify a factory seconds

What specs do you need in it? I'll keep an eye out.
Preferably new or close to it, and Preferably a first, or a second that's not easily distinguished as one. Black canvas micarta a big plus And the big thing is reasonably priced.

(Only reason for black canvas is all my others are except a jade thou i have black canvas for it too lol like consistency)

Gotcha.

I have one old style 3.5. This one was never meant to cut however.

Why would they switch to Cerakote from DLC? DLC is a far superior coating and much more durable. I would much rather have the option of DLC, TiN, TiCN, exc. over Cerakote if I wanted a coated blade. Maybe there wasnt a coating company as close when they moved?

I'm not sure, but read somewhere that it was not protecting against corrosion as well as Guy expected and there was some issues with the consistency of the application where it was being done.

Apparently the person who does it now is really good at Cerakote, but I don't think it matters how far they are as the Cruforge 4.7s have been waiting to return from Cerakote for several months according to the production schedule.

Also, there are some issues with the first round of sheaths rubbing the Cerakote off, but I think that is fixed now.

I'm with you in the Cerakote is an inferior coating as far as wear resistance goes camp but I am not sure that is why Guy is coating them. I think it might be due to corrosion resistance but again, this is just my opinion.

I would love to see a TiCN PVD coating, fasteners to match.
