How to identify bowie knives

I have a couple of Bowie knives that appear to the untrained eye(me) to have no markings. Is there any source that helps with identifying the knives?
 
Pictures would help a lot and some provenance. the Bernard Levine forum might be a good idea if they're old. Good luck.
