how to make a new handle for a tomhawk

i recently had my handle come out and wondering how to make a new one for it perfeably hickory

What kind of "tomahawk" is it? Because proper tomahawks are made to slide off down the handle.

If you have a hawk with a teardrop shaped eye you can pickup one from

They have Hickory and Ash handles, otherwise you might need to buy one directly from the original supplier, or take one of those and shape it using a wood rasp and sandpaper.
