My neighbor found a nice vintage pocket knife while mowing his front lawn. Knowing I'm a nife nut, he sold it to me for a quick $50. Rethinking the fast sale and that maybe I knew something he didn't, he bought it back for $100. He was proven right because after doing a little research, I realized what a find it really was and so I paid him a fair $150 for the knife. I had acted too soon, though, because I had to sell it back to him at a $50 loss to cover my bills at month's end. He was happy to get it back for $50 less than he had sold it for. After regaining my financial footing, I told him I really wanted to buy that knife. "Can't", he said. "I heard a guy down the street lost it while jogging so I gave it back. But it was the right thing to do and I still made $50 on it."
