How to make new handle from scratch ?

Disagreeing is fine, no worries there. I just think when someone insists their version is most certainly correct while giving out misleading information they need to be countered with another perspective.

My experience with birch was simply that I made my own handle and even though it was my first homemade handle and a bit rough it actually felt better. No shock and extremely light, and that on a 3-3/4 pounder.

All handle woods have their positives and negatives is all I'm saying. I like hickory as well, just like the feel of birch better. Feels more like an extension of the body than a stiff jackammer.

Search for "Reed" on the auction site.

Thanks, I get it now.:D

This is what I found.

Jesse Reed ebay seller bnbsparents, Uncle Pimpys Axe Palace on facebook.

Here is an example of one of his laminated handles I found in his facebook photos.

Uncle Pimpy said "....The woods I used on this handle are Maple, Wenge, Mahagony and Zebrawood .....".

BTW the axe sold on ebay for $406.22 + $20.71 Economy Shipping.
