how to make small furnace

I want to heat treat a 2 inch blade, its 01 steel and i have a bernzomatic torch with mapp and oxygen tanks.How can i make a furnace??

Search out one-brick forge or coffee can forge. With a blade that small you can probably just put it against a firebrick and heat it without making a forge. If you use firebrick, get a soft brick, it's light almost like pumice. The stuff at the brickyard is almost surely not the right kind.
