How to make the first one memorable?

My advice to make your first Sebenza memorable is maybe from a different angle: Carry your first CRK (whatever it is) for as long as you can.

This is exactly what I was going to say.

I've since traded away my first CRK, but I have the second, it has been a constant user over the last 4 months and is only getting smoother the more I use it.

Had I gotten to hold the 21, 25, and inlaid versions first I would have been able to choose the right one immediately. Do yourself a favor and try the 21, 25, and micarta versions of both - they all feel very different, and some people dislike some of the variations.

I plan to buy a plain, large 21 with a double thumb stud. Is that going to make the knife a "special order," or is it likely that CRK comes to Blade with some of those?

You can send most Sebenzas back to the factory for a double thumb stud in whatever color you want.

I have one back to get the single blue stud swapped out for a double silver lug, as well as a silver backspacer. It's something like $50, but well worth it to make the knife "yours".

Thanks, LW...one last question. I plan to buy a plain, large 21 with a double thumb stud. Is that going to make the knife a "special order," or is it likely that CRK comes to Blade with some of those?

Thanks again.

That's a fairly common knife, they might well have one there. You can always order one, and ask to pick it up there.
