How to polish handguards of the SOG Tech 1 and 2?

Does anybody know wich metal is used in the handguars of the SOG Tech 1 and 2?

I whant to polish them so that they can shine again :cool:

i use flitz, but no matter which abrasive polish you apply, see to it that at least an inch of the handle material is taped over, as there is a strong possibility of staining on the black kraton...

I use neverdull on the brass guards for my Scuba/Demo.
Its a can filled with cotton or wool wadding covered in a cleaning agent. You just rip off a little ball of it and rub the brass. Easy and no mess.
 
I use "Autosol". Leaves the brass guard with a mirror like shine. Any product will do, but I see quite a lot of people mentioning 'flitz' to polish metal.
