Sorry, but I'm not familiar with "around the grinder". I want to know about the performance differences between D2 and
CPM D2. Where can I post this question? I have registered. Am I a basic member? Since it is clear that I'm not navigating well, can you help?
I think this is a great website. I am willing to pay for the privilege of getting an education.

OK, for a start, you can post that question in the General Knife Discussion forum at http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/715-General-Knife-Discussion where we discuss evaluations of different steels.

As for membership levels, you can see them at http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/payments.php

The initial membership level here is free: Registered User. The others you will find at that Paid Subscriptions link have a sliding scale of cost and privileges.

And you don't have to pay for the education: we answer everyone's questions.
