Gentleman,

Can anybody answer this simple question - how to post Embedded video to the post?

What ever i do - i'm getting just a link and no video:

I tried Youtube link in [video[ tag - doesn't work
I tried Facebook video in tag - doesn't work

I guess iFrame doesn't work at all...

Please help!!

Here's the easy was for YouTube. (Make sure you are viewing it in Desktop View for both methods. Mobile view doesn't seem to work.)

Copy the web address at the top in the address bar and then click Insert Video tab on the reply tool bar and paste the link. It should automatically add the correct brackets to embed and then you're all set.

Now here's the manual way to do it.

Copy and paste the link into your post and put these tags before and after the link.
link goes here [/video

Be sure to close the last tag with the correct bracket. (Left it open otherwise it wont show properly )

Easy way.

Another note - be sure the link is NOT a https type, or a m.youtube, only www.youtube

I.E. :

https://m.youtube... <--- Won't work!!!

http://www.youtube... <--- Should work!!!

Many times just changing the https to http and/or changing the m. to www. works just fine.

I.E.:

https://m.youtube...

Changed to

http://www.youtube... will make the video work.

HTH!!!

I've had some occasions where they won't work with this secure http as well. But removing the "s" doesn't seem to hurt anything. Same video as above, without the "s" in the link.

Still works.

Hmm, may just depend on the video or something. Either way good to know.

Youtube in brackets and only the 10+ digit (or so) alphanumeric filename at the end placed between the brackets still seems to work also... The old school way.

OF86Ivzw_3s (remove the space) = vvv ...Also allows for multiple vidclips per post.

Testing
