Wondering if there's a step by step on how to take apart and repiece an Endura.

Reason being, i have both a waved Endura and the white frn Endura, and want to switch the scales to make a super mega waved white frn Endura.

The parts seem pretty simple, but i don't want to ruin either knife.

you can find a great tutorial on Mr. Blonde's website, only it addresses the Delica model

Just make sure you keep the blade and lockbar together when you move it to another handle.

Thanks for the link to Mr. Blonde's tutorial. My waved Endura gave me fits and it makes a slight click as it is being fully closed. It still functions right, but the noise bugs me.

Now I just might take it back apart and try again to see if it will go away.

Be careful with the screw heads stripping. I tried to do this exact swap today but was forced to abort due to stripping the lockbar torx head on my white Endura.

I'll attempt it again sometime in the future.

Do the screws come with any loctite on them from the factory? I want to swap the handles of a regular black Endura with a waved Endura.

I've also emailed Spyderco tech support to ask if this voids the warranty, even if no parts were damaged during the process. I'll post the response here when I get it.

This is EXACTLY what happened to me!

I had to drill the screw out and scavenge the piece from my other (waved donor) Endura. Now my white frn waved Endura is complete, but it's donor is sitting apart without a lockbar screw/stud.

I'm gonna probably buy a Endura parts kit from Spyderco, since my local knife shop doesn't seem to have any extras lying around. :(

Its a real pain in the butt that it happened. I have much less motivation to take any of my Spydies apart now. I remember this happening to me on a Gunting trainer too a while back.

Either those little screws are buttery soft or my technique is all wrong...maybe a combination of both but more likely the latter:)

I was able to strip out the hex screw on a Sebenza once also..

Ive done the same with with a fg delica and my d4wave! Best combo ever...I only wished it could have G-10 FG handles......:o. When you do swap them, make sure to swap the lockbars as well to ensure proper lockup. When I first did the swap, the SE delica in the old d4wave handles didnt lock up right. After I swaped the interneals, everything locked up 100%.
