In the right hands I am sure that the knife can be restored! Stacy sent me a few references that I will check out and go from there - but there is no way I would endeavor to do this myself lacking any experience.

It is a cutting board.The scratches are still there. You just transferred them to your desk.

Perhaps you'll understand my confusion when I disclose that my desk is often a cutting board.
