How to remove small scratches on the polished finishing blade?

Hi, folks!

So, I have a custom knife with a highly polished finishing blade that has a few tiny and medium size scratches on it (The scratches are not deep scratches).

I would like to ask/to know how to remove those scratches/get rid of those scratches?
Which polishing materials or chemical liquid that I need to use to remove the scratches without altering the original finishing on the blade?
I do not have buff wheel though. Is there any way I can do it manually without using a buff wheel?

Thank you.

Owen.

I had similar problems on a buck knife I own. I got the scratches out with 2000 grit sandpaper. But it didn't look right so I polished the whole blade at 2000 grits. Now when it does get scratched I just get my sandpaper and take the scratch out. Edited I don't know if I would do that on a Custom Knife though

I will be so nervous to use a sandpaper on this blade. hahaha...

I have used Flitz products with good results before and on 20 yr old blades with minor scratches and surface rust.
Also works on brass parts too. I’m by no means an expert or professional at this task so others here may have better advice, this is just my experience.
Did you use flitz paste and microfiber cloth , or flitz paste and buffing wheels?

Cool! Hahaha...
But on a more serious note, if you’re really set on getting rid of the scratches and you’re leery of sandpaper, you could look for a jewelry polishing cloth. I’m not sure what type I have, but I’ve got one that I’ve used to polish a knife blade and it worked well. Took absolutely forever, but it worked.

It was the only time I’ve ever polished a knife. Realized it was pointless for me since within a month that knife was scratched to hell from use.

A little Puma polishing paste, and I bought the nail polishers at Sephora (4€)
which are very light with very fine and different grains and everything is gone. On a rather expensive knife more ...
