Hi everyone, sorry if this is a really daft question, I'm really useless with computer stuff.
How do I reply to a message that another member has left on my profile page?
Do I right the reply in the box on MY profile page?
Or do I go to the profile page of the member who wrote the message and write the reply there?

Thanks everyone.
D.

I'm not a fan of profile posts as a means of communication; so I don't know how people usually do it. My guess is that, depending on how one has his/her notifications set, there should be an alert either way.

Be nice to have a proper answer to this question

It would seem that the conversation would be more difficult to follow if it is being held in two different locations. Not a problem if it's just a couple of one liners; but for asking & answering questions it would seem to make sense to answer where received.

Of course, if privacy is a concern it might be worth the hassle of posting on separate profiles (everybody knows that profile posts are public, and one doesn't even have to visit the profile to to see if there is a message, right? If you didn't, check this out: http://www.bladeforums.com/find-new/982835/profile-posts)

If there is concern about the other person noticing the post (which is valid, regardless of which profile is used), one could take the extra step of using an alert by including @username. Of course, that requires using the CORRECT username or selecting from the options that appear. If it is done correctly, it will be highlighted - hhmoore hhmoore
(this is not case sensitive, but other errors will prevent the alert from being sent)
