Hello everyone,

I encountered a problem and came to the forum for help.

My friend is in Russia and he wants my microtech combat troodon,
how should I mail it to him. thank you all,

So Russia, for all practical purposes, is an enemy of the U.S.A. and all the rest of the free world, and you want to sent a weapon there. I'm not surprised that didn't work out real well. It will interesting to see how this turns out.

forgetting that its an auto and has its own issues sending internationally........pretty sure most delivery services have been suspended to russia since 2022 due to the war.

No way would I be sending an expensive knife to Russia. Might as well throw it in the trash.

As far as I can tell, you can just sent it. Literally a priority box (or whatever else you prefer).

With that said, the legal status of autos in Russia is ambiguous. On top of that, its crazy corrupt so postal theft is a real issue.

Not sure how I'd recommend handling this but would think you'd want some sort of indemnity from your friend.

I know that I have tried ordering something from Russia and it was a no go. I was told they couldn't accept my money or ship to the USA

Got a link? It seems like business as usual based on my google search

Ninja edit: I saw this: https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/international/welcome.htm but its a bit confusing as to whether its *all* mail or just certain services (global priority guaranteed, for ex.)
That is the link I used.

Clicking the "view suspensions" button shows, "These service disruptions affect Priority Mail Express International® (PMEI), Priority Mail International® (PMI), First-Class Mail International® (FCMI), First-Class Package International Service® (FCPIS®), International Priority Airmail® (IPA®), International Surface Air Lift® (ISAL®), and M-Bag® items"

These are basically every class of international mail except military or diplomatic mail.

I used to ship to Russia a few times a month for my business but have been unable to sell or ship there since the war started.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if that was an exhaustive list.

Funny how Russia allows convicts to make knives but has strict knife laws, that's interesting.

Hmmm.

Besides buying a TSPROF. To include the stones. I enter to win their giveaways every time they have one. Shipped from Russia.

Vostok watches are on Amazon. Again, made in and shipped from Russia.

Let's hear it for stupid embargos.
