I have a Boker Gamma Ceramic knife which has some tiny edge chips I'd like to get it sharpened. Can I sharpen it on a conventional sharpener such as Sharpmaker? If not, where can I get it sharpened? Thanks!
I have heared the success story with Lansky and ultrafine diamond stones. But it took a week to do it with a feather-like motions. The problem was with edge chop off as I remember...
I have never owned one, but 10 years or so ago I was considering one. When I asked that question I was told that it had to go back to Boker to be sharpened. At that time they did offer 1 model with a 2 blade set, with one being steel.
I've had a couple ceramic blades. Don't even try to sharpen it. You'll be at it for a very long time. You should send them back to the manufacturer to be sharpened.
