How to Sharpen up the plunge cut

I'm interested how everyone sharpens up their plunge cuts to make them more defined. Mine were good until I finished draw filing the blade and now the edge of the plunge cut on the handle side just doesn't seem to be as crisp. I'm thinking of trying to redo the plunge by pushing it towards the tang farther. Does that seem like the best way?

make a file guide and dont take it off till your done filing and sanding! this will help keep ya sharp! also yes but make a file guide first and push it back a lil to clean it up

thanks. i have a file guide I just took it off once I cut the plunges. I'll push it back and try touching it up

I saw Dan Cassidy using a planer blade (apx 12-14" long) to draw-sand with. The chisel edge of the blade lets you get in close to the plunge cut without eroding it.
