  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

How to start a new "conversation" or e-mail a user?

I seem to recall a simple icon/link under a user's avatar that allowed me to contact someone directly via BF or email, but I cannot seem to find it anymore... Help?

Click on name or avatar,
Select "send message"

Irritatingly there doesn't seem to be an option to do this from a user's profile, it only seems to work from a post they have made.

There is, you just got to dig a little.

When in someone's profile, click the Information tab. Under the Interact section you'll see "Conversation:" with a link to send message and start a convo.

Does one have to pay to to receive the "Conversation:" link under the Interact section? That is what I garner from the above.

It's all right for someone to respond, as I still accept emails or conversations.

A abcdef registered members cannot send or receive messages/conversations (except from admins and mods). There is the option of making posts to somebody's profile; but some people disable or restrict that feature.

madcap_magician madcap_magician aside from the method pointed out above, you can also send messages by entering your conversation list, and clicking on start a new conversation
