How to tell a newer POS Collins from a older one?

The Chinese were making swords 500 +++ years ago that would cut people in half, just sayin ;-)))) Then there are the Japanese.:D

well thats fine and dandy and all... they werent commies '500 years ago' either...
they do what they are told... make cheap crap... to sell to ignorant folks that will buy... and if they do not do as they are told... they become lamp shades!!!

too ugly i suppose, but the truth...!

i know that this is a 'little' off topic and such, i just have a problem with cheap chinese crap... their steel sucks... and well, maybe if its not good enough for the 'inspectors' then they will simply disappear. trust,i have friends that live there... and yes, i know that its not pretty...!
i do not know how anyone can try and defend cheap s#4t... not on my dime...!

do as your told... or else... so 'they' say...

i dont know? my wife tells me that i should keep my mouth shut sometimes... as we all can see... it works well;)

i see nothing wrong with telling the truth...
i know that what i said, most folks do not even know what "commies" means... well, thats not my problem... its theirs/yours, etc...
maybe its time that folks understand what they are buying...?

its not "slurs" its simply fact... political correctness has not rotted my brain... never will...! and yes i do have close friends that live there and you do not want too know...:(
 
Just thought id add here that i recently bought a POS mexican collins hatchet, and its great, holds its edge well, as of yet no problems with it

The other day I was looking at some mexico made collins boy's axes at a local feedstore. The handles looked like they had been cut out of 3/4" plywood. Seriously, they were cut out of a flat piece of wood. It was weird.

Huh. That looks absolutely nothing like the ones I was looking at. Granted, I was looking at the boy's axe.
 
I grabbed a Mexican Collins at xmas for my son in law, same one as Mike has, Great little hatchet with a Hickory haft, straight aligned grain too. Sharpened up like a knife. Then again, Mexico isn't a commie country:D Sorry, couldn't help myself.:D

Makes me shudder it's so fugly. I can't really comment on the performance because I refused to get near it! ;)

I did feel the handle. I'm not really sure where you're supposed to grip it. Who thought that handle was a good idea????!!
