i was given a i would say 25-30+ year old KA-BAR hybrid i know a little on the back story of this blade and that only 4 were created.

its base design was a unique build it was made with minimal tools and materials. it was made with aspects of multiple knifes i just compare it to a ka-bar or survival knife,
a generic name would be combat knife.

Who told you only 4 were created?

this exact blade was made 30 plus years ago by a seal team in south America and my father was one of those seals and now that i see the comparison i have a feeling i know were they're inspiration for the blades came from.

Which SEAL team?

Which SEAL team?
i have no clue. he told me that he would only tell me about his service time if his discharge interfered with my enlistment and ability to hold a secret clearance
i have seen his paper work but nowhere does it have team designation

That knife is not one of the three well known Rambo III movie replica knives (Hibben. United, Master). The guard is at the wrong angle, one of the distinctive features of this model. It is clearly some sort of "copy" of the Rambo III knife. The general fit and finish as well as the sheath suggests to me the possibility of some kit knife.

a kit would have a mark and the parts would fit nicely together its not noticeable in the photo but the hilt is slightly of center and he said the hilt was placed by burning it on, also when i cleaned the blade i repaired the sheath and it has burn marks from heat forming.

Just so you know KenHash has a pretty good handle on identifying custom knives.
