It looks a lot like a Saburo bowie model SKS500 (below).

And there are a lot more than 4 of them.

yea but certain details they look almost identical but i see three big differences angle of the hilt is more noticeable on the bowie the glass break on the bowie is longer more defined obviously machined, and mine has no press mark identifying it

Exactly what kind of information are you looking for?

You say it was made 30+ years ago by Navy SEALS for your Navy SEAL father, in south America, and you say that you know what the various parts were made of, including the sheath- https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/i-have-a-ka-bar-hybrid-knife-that-was-given-to-me.1801461/

It seems to me that the best person to ask for information is the person who gave it to you and provided you with all that info.

If only 4 were made, and if they were made by a secret team of Navy SEALS, and only possessed by a secret team of Navy SEALS, how would anyone else know anything about your knife?

Looks like a Saburo with the markings removed, a pommel replacement, and a beefier handle, especially towards the rear. But the guards are identical. Difference in angle of the front guard is probably due to the rehandling process. But I mean even the number and size of spine file marks is the same.

Hmmm... I just noticed the cutout in the blade flat relationship to the spine file notches is different on the two knives... the mystery deepens...

Perhaps a Frost Cutlery version of the Saburo. Somebody tell me that the logo on the OP's sheath, and the Frost knife sheath pictured below aren't identical.
i figured it out

An unmarked Saburo-like knife has been discussed here before. Although Saburos appear to be always marked.

i have no clue. he told me that he would only tell me about his service time if his discharge interfered with my enlistment and ability to hold a secret clearance
i have seen his paper work but nowhere does it have team designation
That's really not how that works...

its base design was a unique build it was made with minimal tools and materials. it was made with aspects of multiple knifes i just compare it to a ka-bar or survival knife,
a generic name would be combat knife.
It was made with minimal tools but they still took the time and were able to cut out a long slit all the way through the blade? 🤨

This has to be one of the stupidest threads of all time to grace bf. Op you have a piece of shit replica kit knife that’s been modded and you were lied to, if any of that story you told was even true. This was not some super secret squirrel seal team made knife.
