How well does the M4 Manix steel resist rust etc.

I've been carrying a GB off and on for about 4 months now, and despite the humidity and my sweaty fingers, the blade has only a slight dark circle around the thumb hole. I will wipe it off, usually on my shirt or whatever, but have not gone out of my way to keep it spotless. And no rust, and just that slight patina around the hole.
 
M4 will definitely corrode big time if given the right (wrong) conditions, but the CPM formulation seems to be more resistant than ingot M4 and M2, fwiw.
