Here is a pair of new ones just off the sander. They are 1/8" thick convex blades with a 4 & 1/4" cutting edge, and 8 & 5/8" overall. These are the first 2 and I have not even figured out what wood I will use on them yet or a name. down the road I am sure I will add some Micarta for these ones. Here are some finished pictures it is now called THE FORESTER let me know what you think. Doug

I like the look of your desert ironwood stuff. I'd like to see 'em in that or some maple burl.

Seems similar in size to your Hunter. Maybe just call it the Hunter Drop Point ;).

Very nice - full convex? I agree with Rupestris - Desert Ironwood would be lovely.

Those look good and very usable. Handles look like they'll work with a variety of grips, very important in a general woods knife.

Can't wait to see the finished products.

Nice looking knives there. Only thing I'd suggest is that the guard be a bit less pointy. Just a personal preference, but don't like that much of a guard there. Those convex grinds look great, though. Nice handle shape and good size overall.

Thanks so far everyone the blade is just over 1" at it widest point. I cant wait to get one of these done. I was thinking of the Iron wood I have for one but we will have to see what mood I am in when I get that far. I do expect to have at least one of these done in the next few days. Thanks again Doug

Nice looking blades Doug. I could see one sporting Desert Ironwood scales.

That is a great blade shape. While I like the Ironwood I think that Zebrawood would look really nice. The handle looks like it is long enough to show off the stripes.

Thanks all for your compiments and input. I am looking forward to getting these done, but I have 2 orders to get done first. I should have at least one of these done by Friday. Doug
