I think thats the point the gentleman in Yvsas post was trying to make . They don,t have to kill you or even come to your house in force . If they revoke your drivers permit you can,t legally drive your car . Next time you get pulled over are you going to fight the peace officer just doing his job ?
He is not trying to take your guns away . He is just trying to keep the highways safe . It doesn,t have to be your drivers permit . It can be any legal ramifications of your non-compliance . They don,t have to fight you . They just have to make honest men into criminals .

My brother, in a previous marriage, owned horses. He had one old sweetheart of a horse that was 29 and kept around as a lawnmower and used by his kids because of his solid, sweet disposition. One day animal control showed up and demanded to see the horse that he was neglecting and abusing. Apparently neighbors saw this horse and noticed old 'Dutch' didn't look as sprightly and as healthy as his other pasture companions and called animal control.
My brother didn't have the animal taken away or do any time or recieve any fines. Still, the burden of proof was upon him to prove he wasn't neglecting the animal. The scary thing is that your neighbors will oftentimes go along with these harebrained public officials and make it easier to control the citizenry.

I've probably bought a new gun every 2-4 months since 1988 until present day.I only own about 11 guns right now and half of them I built myself.

If they decide to make me account for all of the guns I have traded,sold or given away as gifts over the years I'll be in big trouble.

Everyone here should learn how to build a gun from scratch and become proficient with the tools they own so that they can build whatever they want if the need ever arose.

If a full scale gun ban goes into effect in this country I will be probably be building them in a shack somewhere in the woods and making a good living selling them on the black market because at that point I won't give a flying flip about this country's laws anymore ;)

If they turned me into a criminal, then I would be one. Any government that tries to take my freedom I will not obey.
