I have a Manix 2 black g10 body with a Manix 2 s110v blade. The knife is in great user condition with slight wear marks on g10 under the clip and a few small marks on the blade which is hair popping sharp.

The zip tie has been removed.

Tldr: Manix 2 g10 with s110v blade. What could I trade/sell it for? Sebenza, Spyderco chubby?

Mods: if this is against any rules, let me know and I will take this down asap!

Bill, pricing a knife can be tricky. It all depends on the demand and condition of the item. Even low dollar knives sell for more with the box and paperwork. I'd say what makes things even tougher is the steady price increases from retailers we are seeing over the last year. Those go new for about $100, where as about a year ago they were around $80ish. Not much help, I know.

The thing is that they don't offer the s110v with g10 scales, it is only offered with dark blue frn. The g10 body is from a s30v manix 2 that I put the s110v into. So if someone wants to make one, they would have to purchase both knives separately... Well, they could also buy mine, lol. :D

Thanks for the input, normally when people see a response in the thread they poke in to see what was said, so this may help get the ball rolling.

Checking prices on eBay, it looks like that model would be worth about $90 (give or take $10) if it were unused and still in the original box.
Lightly used knives like yours seem to sell in the $70 range, although there haven't many many used ones that have sold recently, making comps difficult to match. Affecting the value of yours, the G10 looks worn at the butt and the logo appears faded, in addition to the blade marks you mentioned.

My final guess, you'd get at least $60 for it.

Use the "Sold Listings" search option to confirm.

That's helpful to know, and you might get higher bids as a result provided that you could phrase that with a positive spin. "CUSTOMIZED Manix 2 with rare combination of S110V and g10!!!" or some such. Otherwise it's just a used knife that you tinkered with. ;)

I would think it would be worth around 90 bucks. Being a user, maybe a little less.

Well, I failed to see the steel on it. :D
My sincerest and best guess for value would be $125-$145 +\- a few bucks. If I saw that knife for that price it would not be unreasonable at all, provided it locks up solid and has little of any wear marks.

I would agree with Rev on this one. Buying both would be close to $200 separately new.

Heck start it at $150 and see if you get any takers. Can always price drop or negotiate if needed.

Good call on the price, that is more than fair considering as you said, the second knife needed, plus the labor involved. That is not exactly what I would consider a quick blade swap.

A downside to take into consideration is its now void of warranty service. Guess price it a little higher than you think you can get and if you have no takers lower the amount until you see some interest.

I've seen Spyderco "Seconds" with no warranty for $65 at the sale in Golden end up selling for $350+ on the Exchange.
Warranty means very little to someone with piles of disposable income and a broken impulse control mechanism.
