How Would You Like The Initialing On The Khuks To Be?

I think the script on my BGRS by Bura is perfect the way it is... All Himalayan script and small, tastefull symbology L/H side of blade.

I can hardly wait to see the WWII by Sher :D

I do have to disagree with the notion that we as infrequent buyers have little to no say

I didn't mean to infer that anyone else's buying rate should take away their say.. I think any forumite who wants to have a say should get it. 20/ khuks per month or 1 every 5 years.:foot:

I guess it really boils down to the fact that I decided I'm leaving the matter in capable hands after reading the back and forth on this thread.:)

I know I didn't interpret you to be a proponent of that, it was just an offhand comment that took hold in the thread so I responded.
We don't try to hang too much stuff around each others necks, do we? Nawwww.

nsmg;

You've been here since 2001, own over 130 HI khuks, but have only posted on BF forums 32 times? My God, Man, talk to us sometime!

I just picked up the WWII I was waiting for (not long I might add) It's NOT a villager. It has english S.B and U.B on it as well as characters on the blade. I love it too, a quick couple of coats of mil spec silicone (For boots) and min wax sealer/protector and I'm good to go...

The steel on these Khukuris really is better than KH IMO. at least witht th examples I have 4xHI vs 4xKH. The H.I ones seem to have that certain something that makes them the ones you grab for first be it carving ham, cutting onions or green pepper or hacking down apple tree branches...

I wasn't overly worried about it:p :D

 HOLY SMOKES:thumbup: Have you ever photographed the whole lineup at once? I'd love to see THAT picture!!

130 HI khukuri knives! WOW!

Even if one was to place each one at costing $50 each (with most probably actually costing quite a bit more then that), one comes up with a $6500 investment! WOW!

That's about how much I probably have invested in my firearms, so it is pretty impressive when that amount is invested in khukuri knives. Actually, it's probably much more then that you have invested in those knives.

God bless you buddy :)

When I was 29 I spent 3500 on a stereo system that was worth a little more....and I thought I was high up there. I'm sure I have 3 times that in firearms, and even with my modest khuk collection, well, a lot.

I've owned well over 100 firearms in my 40 year old lifetime, but owned is the key word there..... LOL!
I currently own only 13 firearms, including a few handguns, so there has been a lot of wheeling and dealing with my firearms (selling, buying, trading, and selling again).

I think a lot of it is because I am into so many different things, that it's hard for me to stay focussed in one area.

It's all good though, for the most part, I have kept the items that I loved the most ;)

A 130 HI khukuri collection definitely seems like a very focussed and impressive collection, at least in my eyes :)
