How would you sheath this knife?

Cool deal Buddy. Is there a belt loop on the back to wear crossdraw?
 
Dave, no, the loop is attached at 4 corners and was originally conceived to draw both ways but it didn't work out well. It carries nicely at a slight angle. The snake pattern is lined up with how it rides.

That was my second sheath ever and was fully taken from a drawing I made right after posting this thread. Everything about it was simply a design exercise and to see if I could do it, if I'd enjoy it (leather working) and just to get more experience.

After the next sheath I knew I was in this with both feet. ;)
 
Ah didn't realize that was this one. You sent me some pics of that at the beginning if I remember right. You'll have to try it again. Figure out why it didn't work and what ya can do different to make it work. That boot sheath pic ya posted for me. I made 3 more of those and its still not there either. Keep nibbling. Heck if you're gonna be a bear, might as well be a grizzly.
 
Yeah, I just don't like that the stitches that I did were incorporated into the main welt stitching. The next one is going to have stitching directly on the back. May try lining that one, but it's for a customer. Don't want to go too far from what I'm used to.
