How'bout Northfield Tuesday?!

I grabbed the old Eureka for Northfield Tuesday.

Jeff, I have one of those on the way and am considering doing the same clip job. I'm kinda surprised GEC hasn't done one already, especially in the jack configuration. It wouldn't be a Northfield, but if they gave it 440C blades and pinched/lined bolsters... Oh, mama!

Just realized I forgot to post that knife, so here she is for Northfield Tuesday:

I'm strongly considering hitting you up to do this mod to my 81. Sometimes modified blades turn out too short for my liking, but this one isn't bad at all, and of course adds some versatility to the already great pattern. Great job on the swedge!

Thanks for the praise! Yeah, on this knife, I compared the modified blade to a #15 main blade, and it was pretty close. Definitely still over 2", probably 2.25"

Nice red sawcut duo!

Lots of red all around in this thread today, and red's my favorite color.

Ryan . . . get to grindin'! ;)
Sabercat Sabercat Jeff don't lie...

I usually prefer the Tidioutes because of the satin finished blades, but Northfields have their charms as well.

I like the no etch, satin blades, too. But I like pinched and lined and otherwise-fancy bolsters, and usually have a soft spot in my heart for Northfields as a result of those touches. That little Lick Creek you've got is the winner of the run, IMO. Such a cool knife.

Exactly. That is why the SFO's like Mike Latham's are so nice. The upcoming Collector Knives 85's are a perfect example. They get all the fancy looking features and the Northfield name with a nice satin finished blade.

I have this one coming hopefully in a week or so.
