Yep, Welcome to the Cantina/Psycho Ward.:D

And .45-70 is almost right, actually Bruise doesn't habla Frank Herbert.;)
And I have other suspicions about Bruise as well, the paranoid little Bastid.;) :D

I do not see the problem with a convex edge. It is the same edge that we have used on axes for milliniam.
I grind it and finish it with a mill bastard file.
You could use a slack belt grinder.
The object is to make it convex.
Gee, do you want a geometry class?
Cliff is a sharp boy and a good engineer. That does not mean he knows everything.
It means he knows how to be an engineer. When he goes beyond that, he is just like you or me.
Cliff would say the same about me, or worse.

Best regards,

I've been "lurking" around this cantina for a couple of years now--enough to feel I've gotten to know a lot of you (and a few who aren't with us anymore, most prominently including Bill). Never quite made the time to register, though, until this mandatory registration went into effect. (And, yes, I'm the reason for the sudden disappearance of a large number of UBBBs from under Nasty's nose.) (No offense--just equipping my large passle o' kids with the wherewithal to reduce mesquite trees to matchwood--and a couple of friends with some of the best steel on the planet, as well.) Found the site via Cliff Stamp's reviews. First sharked a 15" Amtrak siru a couple of years back, and haven't looked back since. Spent the usual hours of frustration trying to figure out how to apply a "convex edge," ultimately learning the use of a belt sander and "Warren strop", and now usually sport large swaths of hairless forearm from testing edges. Swapped unprintable jokes with UB; had fun following links to Valiant Blades, Oldjimbo's site, etc.

Anyway, it's nice to break the surface and say hello to y'all.

When were the good old days?
I was there at the begining.

Well, I'll be Go To He--. An old voice that should be a friend and skates around the shadows. Welcome.

You picked a right time to arrive officially. There's change in the air, though someday someone will look back and call it all the good old days.
