Ok, so im gonna start collecting benchmades (hope this is the right forum for this?) and I was just wondering about their warrenty. i looked at it on there web site but it wasnt very clear to me. is it a lifetime warenty? if my spring breaks on an assisted opener will they send a new one or just fix it if i send it in? What about blade play after a couple years of use?

I haven't looked at their warranty either but their customer service has always been excellent. They've always solved my problems with no fuss & few questions.

Excellent. They are one of the few companies that stock parts for older knives. Their prices for screw ups (e.g. new blade) are less that their competitors. Their authorized dealers will handle repairs on automatics for a reasonable service fee. They don't argue with the customer. Turn around time is usually a month.

They have always treated me great. Anything I have ask for so far has been free of charge which was a new clip and screws for an old 710 and more recently a new sheath for my 140 because the strap snap popped off.

I wanted a parkerized clip for my ritter grip, and my entire experience was reasonable, though the email responses were slightly delayed (instead of the usual 48 hrs., it took 4 days). But that does not matter, as even 4 days is a reasonable timeframe for me.

Good people at Benchmade. Sent a Alias II in for a new blade, laseretching and new screws. Turn around time was 2 weeks iirc, and was handled well even when the knife had been modified.

Edit: Forgot to mention the folks at benchmade sent me two clips, one polished one satin. Cool stuff.

Their CS and warranty is top notch. They sent out replacement screws for me multiple times because I'm an idiot, free of charge.

Just recently I wanted a black clip for my 425 Gravitator, as it comes with a satin one. They sent one out with extra black screws for free.Emails took a few days to be answered, but it was all good.

Back at Halloween 2011 I wainted a princess fairy costume to wear while trick-or-treating. It took years off me so that instead of 56, I looked 48. I would say that BM has great costumer service!!

I'm sorry Legenda, but I just had to it. It was simply too good to pass up!
So no crack on you!
