How's the bowie comming Yvsa!?

Oh Yeah Baby!!!! Especially a sharp clip by all means!!!!!!!

I will have it done one of these days.;) :p   :D

Remember the better the model, the better the knife. I have to fix and super glue the point because Uncle Bill said if it wasn't the kamis would probably make it that way, figureing it's what I had in mind.  :)

...some small pieces or tiny cracks, I tried a new (to me) Duro Super Glue Gel tonight. There was a less-than-1/64" gap under a butt cap that I'd been eyeing and dreading because the regular glue will run out of a spot like this - but not the gel :) I grabbed two carded tubes of the stuff about two months ago and only noticed tonight that one was "Gel". Very controllable, and filled the gap and dried in no time.

Does anybody besides me get the notion that not only is Wal a woodchuck but a perfectionist to boot?

I'd grouse, gritch and send 'em back. :( Being able to add just a little bit to something this good gives a sense of accomplishment and is good for the soul. Keeps me out of the fridge, too.

Bro there's more than one or two of us here that has that malady.:)

There's something beautiful about anything nicely finished and something entirely different when perfectly finished.
And as Walosi has had not difficulty in describeing the wood on the latest UBE the written or spoken word leaves something to be desired in that such a description and such a piece of wood cannot be explained as one has to see it in person to literally feel the depths of its beauty.

I could say more, but I wouldn't want Tsimi to be complaining about the warm and fuzzy and soft touch feelings. :p  :D

Walosi will know what I'm talking about, maybe a few others as well.

want Tsimi to read this, but the burl on one side now resembles a huge, wide-based golden stalactite, reaching down from the ceiling of a big, dark cave...It looks like some of the promo pics I use to see of Carlsbad Caverns(no bats, yet)

There are several here -- not several but many -- but I'm not one of them in the given sense of the word. Actually, I greatly appreciate the work done by the perfectionist and admire their tenacity and ability to achieve it. On their good days the kamis are perfectionists. I've seen and known perfectionists in just about every niche -- machinist, shoe maker, cook, mechanic, you name it, and it is a privelege to watch when they do their magic and what they accomplish is a joy to own, use or simply admire.

One of the reasons I admire that hammer dingy Kobra so much is you took it from what most would consider a dirty, rusty piece of junk into one of the most beautiful knives I've ever seen. And, I know that if Wal sent that Paul Bunyon UBE back to me I probably wouldn't recognize it. And I've seen the work of others that amazed me. The perfectionist is not alone here by any means.

I am a perfectionist myself but not on a physical plane -- sadly I can't achieve what I would like -- but by God, I can try.

And there's a few of us here, perhaps many as you said, that practice that form of perfectionism as well.
Another reason that this forum is filled with the people that it is.
