I ordered a mini-SOCOM from bestknives.com on Sunday, and got the order confirmation right away. When the shipping confirmation hadn't been sent on Tuesday, I e-mailed to see when it's coming. (I have had problems with UPS, and I like to know when to look for the package.) No complaint, no bitching. Here's what shows up in my e-mailbox today:

"BestKnives would like to apologize for the delay in shipping your order. We have been experiencing high volume which is not typical this time of year. We have shipped your order via UPS 2 Day Air at our expense. I hope this is satisfactory and you will visit us again in the future.
