WTS: Hill People Gear Kit Bag, ranger green, used but in excellent condition. No rips, stains or smells. SOLD.
WTS: (2) New-In-Package Brunton 54LU Compasses (Recommended by Dick Blust) $90 shipped each
(sales description stolen from someone from another forum as he knows more about this compass than I do.)
"I happened upon a pair of new, old stock Brunton 54LU compasses recently and immediately bought them. A couple years back or so, I bought the Silva version of this compass after reading Dick Blust's navigation articles on here. I had to order mine from Europe, since they are no longer imported to the USA. If you've read Dick's excellent articles, you know that these compasses are the cat's a$$ for land navigation. If you haven't read his articles, you owe it to yourself to read them if you spend time in the backcountry. These instruments are very difficult to find in the USA since Brunton closed them out a few years back. They sold for about $100 back when they were available (unless you were fortunate enough to purchase one during the close-out period, when they could be had for about half that). I'm selling these two compasses for $90 each shipped (CONUS only). The price reflects the fact that these are now extremely rare and hard to find."
My compasses are new and still in the packaging. The plastic packaging does show wear from storage, but the compasses are perfect.
Pics of the kit bag are the actual item. Pic of the compasses is stolen from the aforementioned thread.
