Has anyone dealt with these guys before? Ive got a good buddy of mine that bought something through there and they said payment didnt go through a couple weeks ago so they want zelle now.

Well, the address posted on hqknivesshop.com is also the address of a hotel in Dallas, TX. And according to my Google search, the phone number they have on their site was apparently also used by a scam site that claimed to offer Chihuahua puppies for sale.
Hqknivesshop.com says they are in Dallas, TX, but the area code for their phone number (985) is in Louisiana.
So yeah, I'd say your buddy got scammed.
Here's a simple piece of advice- always investigate a site before you buy. Including Googling their address and phone numbers.
It's often just that easy to identify a scam site.
