Hinderer XM-24 Slicer customized by Elliot Williamson of Ferrum Forge with Hoback Roller Detent (HRD)
This knife was purchased new from a dealer and has never been sharpened or carried. Other than the occasional flip test and a trip to Ferrum Forge it has sat in my safe since purchase.
Weak detents have been an issue with every 24 I've had so Elliot installed a Hoback Roller Detent which allows you to adjust it to your desired detent strength. I have it set so it will not open with any amount of shaking which means it can't accidentally open in your pocket. Elliot also rounded off the flipper tab a little to make it more comfortable because the stronger detent requires more finger pressure to flip but when it does it flips more forcefully than stock.
