I am sure this question has been asked.
I sent 4 knives off to Peter's HT. I guess I misunderstood their price quote the break came from 4-20 for $110 so I ended up paying the full amount for 4 knives, miscommunication

Anyway I am not that prolific of a knife maker yet, so searching for something more affordable for a couple knives at a time. Any suggestions?

Get them done at Trugrit. Jeff Mutz runs a quality heat treat service for them. They are reasonably priced for small batches and each blade gets returned with the tested hardness number written on the blade.

Their prices may vary by steel type, etc, but they recently heat treated one CPM S35VN blade for me for 16 dollars, plus shipping. This included cryogenic quenching.
