Huge folders! Do you use them?

Before selling off my Dalibor Regulus, I used to carry and use it on a daily basis. It usually scared the sheep when i pulled it out but every day!!!!!

I would likely only need my large folders if I was encircled by a pack of mutant cross bred wolf\polar bears. As they are known to be quite nasty. Otherwise they are toys, and my four inch or less folders do the real day to day work.

I edc an xl voyager tanto, but only as a sd blade.
You can't spect reasonably to pull it out, open it, and say cut a box or whatever, and not scare people. It's a scary blade, that's part of it coolnes for knifenuts. ADMIT IT!
So, I carry just as my personal talisman and as a reassurance of my masculinity, and also edc a yojimbo 2, wich is much more smaller, and yet cool enough to flick and fondle, and can be used much more discreetly.

I regularly carry and use a Contego. It's the biggest folder I own.

This is one of the best posts I've seen on this forum.

Agreed.

Don't carry anything bigger than a Buck 110 or Griptilian in folders. Don't see any point to it.

I've carried the Cold Steel XL Voyager and the Spartan occasionally, but normally I go with something smaller.

The Spyderco Tuff is the most overbuilt knife I currently own. I know it's pretty anemic compared to a lost of the knives you guys are mentioning but I find it to be the best compromise between hard use while still having the qualities that I like in a folder.

I prefer larger folders. I wear xxl motorcycle gloves. Bought the zt301 which is number 51, and is in my grab and go bag. The bm940 is my smallest and is in my work bag. Picked up bm 810 contego for edc. I carry Emerson's cqc10. Today, I'll carry Emerson's auto Commander.

Mine might be a bit small compared to some, but I buy them for possible EDC. I have carried all of them on normal work days, to my office, while wearing jeans. (The ZT 0200 I just got so I've only carried it one day.)

I got the CRKT M16 first and I thought it was pretty big, though fairly easy to carry. Then I got the ZT 0561. It is taller when closed but surprisingly thin. It is easy to carry in jeans and while it looks big it is comfortable in my hand. Then I got the BM 760. It is long enough to fit in this group but doesn't seem to fit in this group otherwise. It is thin and easy to carry. And I just got the ZT 0200. It is bigger in about every way than the rest, and significantly heavier. It is comfortable to hold and I think it would be comfortable for heavy cutting chores. If you just pull it out and lay it on a table, people will think it is a huge knife. Holding it in your hand it seems to fit well and doesn't seem to be large or heavy. Time will tell if it turns out to be too big for my EDC.

No, I used to carry a ZT200, and CRK Lg 21, but find myself carrying minimally sized folders, like SAKs, and traditional slip joints. I even carried a CS Spartan for a spell. Just didn't see the usefulness on a daily basis, but then again my day is pretty mundane.

I've been edcing a left and right Spyderco Military for awhile now. I am going to do a rotation thanks to this thread. I am going to go back to edcing my Lone Wolf Harsey Tacticals once again. T-3 for right side, and T-1 for left. These have a lot of pocket time, a lot. And no one has ever batted an eyelid when I used the big one. Must be a strange place I live in.
