Huh? No Camillus Picture thread STICKY???

I have a theory that every Camillus knife collector has TWO black electrician's knives in their collection!!!

Hmmm . . . I have at least a dozen Camillus electrician's knives, probably half are black.

. . . two different eras on the elec. knives one 4line tang stamp and a newer 3line

I think there are 2 different designs, the pre-TL29 "radio" style knife, and the TL-29, which was a bit heftier and able to withstand more torque without being damaged. If you count each different tang stamp, and each handle material, and each blade combination, there might be a couple dozen different combinations for Camillus.

[edit: it was pointed out to me in another thread that the TL-29 spec. actually covered both of these, but was changed to the "beefier" version near WWII]

I love the Classic Cartridge series. I need to complete it one day.

I got this one for like 5 bucks
I wanted to study how one could convert a L series into a W series
DO you like the off set pins?

I can't tell what the material is used for spacers
Maybe rubber tire or black plexiglass?

It seems to me that someone could invent a H shaped "punch"
To make the H leather spacers
Hit it with a mallet
Like this sorta

Couldn't you go to a machine shop and have the METAL H spacers like on the F39 and F40 made
Seems like it would be easy to make the design on some autocad program

It would be a fun hobby to rebuild the Western's with their funky tang design
I see a lot of Westerns on EBAY with really screwed up handles for cheap...

EDIT:
DOH!!!
Thought this was my What no Western Picture Sticky thread
Oh well
Camillus bought Western so I guess I am safe
