I have a theory that every Camillus knife collector has TWO black electrician's knives in their collection!!!
Hmmm . . . I have at least a dozen Camillus electrician's knives, probably half are black.
. . . two different eras on the elec. knives one 4line tang stamp and a newer 3line
I think there are 2 different designs, the pre-TL29 "radio" style knife, and the TL-29, which was a bit heftier and able to withstand more torque without being damaged. If you count each different tang stamp, and each handle material, and each blade combination, there might be a couple dozen different combinations for Camillus.
[edit: it was pointed out to me in another thread that the TL-29 spec. actually covered both of these, but was changed to the "beefier" version near WWII]
