• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Hultafors?

'Fraid that of the 4 major Swedish axe makers, Hultafors/Hults Bruk is the one that hasn't gotten over to the states yet. They did do some manufacturing for Husqvarna, but that's about all you'll see here aside from vintage HB heads. A real shame too, as their 32" Agdor really looks like a winner - with neither Husq nor Wetterlings producing a model past 26", GB's felling models are rather up there in price...

Like killa concept said, they do not have a US distributor. You can find their "callsical" models on some UK sites, but the Agdor brand is a real pain to find. I am trying to get one shipped from Germany, but it's been taking forever, and at this point I'm not sure if I'll ever get it.

It would appear they have no interest in the US market. I hear that Hultafors, the company that bought Hults Bruk (the actual manufacturer of the axes) is more interested in developing clothing and scafolding for the EU market. It looks like they want to move more into the construction equipment market (which is what Hultafors did) and axes may not be at the top of the agenda. Of course, this is all speculation.
