Purchased two months ago. Used on one trip. Sharpened to paper shaving sharp prior to use. Great all-around axe for camp chores, hunting, or relaxing camp fire.
I purchased a spare factory handle made specifically for the axe, as shown in the pictures.
I laced the axe collar from para chord to prevent damage from overstrikes or splitting wood. Can be used as extra binding material if you are ever in a pinch.
Overall Weight: 2 6/7 lbs.

Handle: Solid American Hickory. Excellent grain direction. I provided multiple coats of linseed oil over handle and eye.
