hey guys.


i don't smoke anymore.



here's a humidor (see pics for detail). it's genuine cedar, and in quite nice condition, albeit a few dings on the surface. it really would be great if you're needing some extra space from your primary humidor, or you just want a nice box or something.

i've also got a xikar cigar tube, a plastic (very tough) cigar tube, little travel humidor bag, Z-torch insert for zippo, and crappy cutter.

maybe, 40.00 shipped? part of this is s/h, as the box is a little heavy and all. it'll go USPS first class.




oh, and here's the catch. i smoked ACID cigars. so there were acids in here, and i know some cigar aficionados are against storing ACID's with their others, as this might disrupt the aging/taste, or whatever. just a heads up. i think it smells nice.
 
I'm intersted.

Does the humidor have some way to control the humidity? If not, how long are your cigars staying fresh in it?
 
sorry, no way to control humidity with this humidor. it used to have this sponge puck, but that thing was awful.

i had used to use this thing that was full of like, a gel, and was tubular so it could be placed in line with the rest of your cigars. it worked pretty well.

as for as knowing how long cigars are staying fresh, i have no idea. i quit smoking a long time ago.

in fact, i haven't used this humidor since before i left for iraq, and that was over a year ago. this humidor likely needs to be reseasoned.
 
Normally you'd place a gel type humidity "disc" in there, along with a small digital temperature / humidity gauge. Try keeping the humidity around 65-70 with the temperature in the same range. You will have to add fluid to the disc as it gradually looses it.

Cigars don't stay "fresh." In fact, "fresh" cigars are often the worst as they haven't had time to settle down and mellow out. Often they are bitter or have very sharp unpleasant flavors.
