Hello Guy's and Gal's,
Here is another one of my Humpback Hunters. It is from a deal that fell through so I have a right handed sheath for it. It is a fantastic knife with very crisp and symetrical grinds. I am working on saving some nickels so I can get items I need for improved photography.
Blade is 154CM .132 thick .775 high at the swedge, 3.0 in. from tip to bolsters and O/A is 7.125. It has been heat treated to 60-61 RC with cryo quench and double tempered 2 hrs each. The swedge grind meets up with the main grind pefectly and align on both sides pefectly. The tang is tapered dead center and the blade is perfectly straight. I hand rub and polished the blade and then gave it a 1200 grit satin finish.
Bolsters are carbon fiber pinned very securely with .092 bronze welding rod.
Handle is Very! nice Redwood burl with mosaic pins, lanyard hole and thin red fiber liners. It is a tear drop design that is very comfortable.
The sheath is 8-9 ounce hand tooled and hand stitched leather made by me. The knife snap fits in very securely yet is easy to withdraw.
My knives and sheaths have been featured in Blade Magazine many times and I won the handmade award by Blade Magazine in 2009 and was Profiled in steel in Blade last year and you can see my knives in the 2011 and 2013 knife anuals. I do not brag but rather want you to see the effort I put into every piece I make. Hope you like it.
Asking SOLD plus $10.00 conus shipping. I can accept paypal. Thank you Alan
