I forged the billet with 135 layers of 15N20 and 1084 high carbon steels
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles with attention to a fine grain stucture
Flat grind
Desert ironwood handle sanded to 400 grit for grip. There is a slight defect near the forward pins that I repaired, you can see it in the handle photo below. Black carbon fiber spacers.
Distal tapered tang and blade
Overall length: 10 inches
Blade: 5 1/4 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
