I love the looks of maple burl. It goes good with any knife. I also like the sliver of copper in the guard. That is a nice looker.

Thanks for sharing.

What kind of grind? Convex?

Perty, btw. Great work.

You got some really good work on here Robert (for a left handed guy from Alabama). Everything sure looks super!! Hope you get to this weeks TR so you can show me how to get the finger flare on the blacksmith knives. I've been trying that and all I get are butt ugly bulges.

Robert,

That is one nice piece of maple and a good looking blade to go with it.
Was it you I was talking to about the bubble jig at Bowies?

Thanks Fred. Yes we were discussing that jig of yours. Shoot me a couple of pics if you get the time.

I like this one a lot. I've imposed a spending moratorium on myself. Otherwise, it'd be hard to pass up. I'm particularly impressed by the guard and the handle. The overall proportions of the knife are also excellent. I think this is a fine piece.

Looks great, especially with that touch of copper in the guard. I'm surprised it's still here. Maybe adding a sheath would put it over the top. Just my $.02.

Great design, materials and looks very well made. Good price for the knife also. Can't believe it didn't sell here, wow!
