This is the time of year that we start getting ready for deer hunting season. We tend to bump into things and not hear too well. Our minds are in the woods and they won't be back till December at the earliest.

In high school, they gave us a day off for deer season. Deer camp was a cultural event. If you took off more than one day, you would get expelled for three more. It was the best of times.

The steel in this knife is 5/32 ATS-34. H.T. is by Paul Bos to Rc 60-61. It is hollow ground with a bead blast finish. The handle is 4 1/8" in L. The blade is 3 5/8" and the OAL is 7 3/4". The cutting edge is 3 3/8". The handle hardware is a pin, bolts, and a tube, all brass.
The sheath is made by me. Veggie tanned and treated with Neats Foot Oil and bees wax.
The price is $135.00 which includes S&H to CONUS and Canada. PayPal (longknives@q.com), USPS money order, or check with time to clear are all fine. ****NEW PRICE****
Thanks for looking. This knife is ***SOLD***

very nice! I like the slider on the leather strap (i'm sure there is a more technical term for strap, but you get the point).

The slider is made from the heads of two 7mm mag rounds. I wanted something in the spirit of hunting season and came up with that. Thanks for the comment.

Hoe did you make the slider from the 7mm? That is a really cool idea. I also really like the knife. The handle design is unique and looks to be really comfortable in the hand.

Hey Smitty, thanks for the look and comment. You cut the heads from two fired rounds, true up the cuts on some paper and solder them together after you remove the primers. Drill out the primer pockets to the size you want. I removed any sign of the solder on the buffer. You can polish the slider by hand, or on the buffer. I used my polisher from my reloading hobby because it gets the casing inside and out. The knife does sit in the hand with good balance.

Hey 3rd40, it's still for sale. I don't know if you noticed the tapered tang. Anything over 5/32 is my rule for tapering. I like the weight reduction and it gives a less blocky look for my heavy knives. Keep looking and thanks.

Hey HomeBru, where you been, deer hunting? Thanks for the comment. I found this board in AZ. I wish I had bought more of it, it is so unique for bubinga.

Pics work just fine for me.

Great work BTW, if I wasn't fiscally challenged at the moment I'd be asking about shipping to the UK on this.

Thanks for the comments Guys. I'm waiting to hear from AK and find out if it's a local problem there.

Well payday finally came around and my wife isn't home! My little girl is all of a sudden 14 years old and is going to "kill me a deer this year". I think she should have a first class knife for her first killing season. What i'm trying to say is I'll take it! I'll be in your neck of the woods soon so we can make it a cash and carry deal. If that works for you.

The Knife is yours 30rd40 Thanks for the business and I hope that girl of yours gets that deer.PM to follow.

Wow what a knife! Thanks! I showed it to the guys at work and I'm going to need another one for a friend that traps in his spare time, and thinks it would be perfect for skinning beaver and otter. I also have a son that will be deer hunting next year and I should really get one for him. So put me down for two similar to this one if that's possible.

Thanks 30rd40. The sales are greatly appreciated. Looks like another is going to AK so I'm low on this blade suddenly.
