If you have never heard of Al Foster, at least look at these images of his work - he has been making knives full time for over 25 years, doesn't go to shows, just sells ALL his knives to customers who keep coming back for more. Most use his knives, but they are so superbly made, and so beautiful, it's always been hard for me to imagine them as user knives. He puts a mirror finish on a blade that is second to none.

This knife is the "Marra's Choice" model, named after his wife. This one was put into a safe the day after purchase, only to see the light of day 4 weeks ago. Jim Frey (Wild Woods) supplied the stabilized rhododendron burlwood (Wild Woods) for this knife.

PRICE: $300 plus $10 shipping in CONUS. Paypal or money order. Paypal add $9.

This is such a great knife - it is easily worth the money. I will gladly refund all money but shipping if someone is dissatisfied, for any reason, if returned within 3 days.

You are absolutely correct. Why Al doesn't go to shows is beyond me. I think he has such a good customer base, he doesn't care. He makes a PERFECT knife and my pics can't even do it justice. He also makes a really sweet skinner. I will be putting it up in the coming weeks, a little less money.

Al was getting $285 for this particular knife, from his customers, 14 years ago!! You know, his knives are so damn nice I can't believe anyone could buy one, see it - and then use it, his knives are so knock out beautiful. I have two more of this model I will also be selling, but I am not about to go under what I paid for them 14 years ago. I paid $285, like everyone else. But I am keeping two others!!
