I recently bought one of WaterStoneBlades slicer with highly figured bamboo handles and it is a cutter! I used it on a soft tomato to start and basically the weight of the knife (very little pressure sliced cleanly thru the tomato. I fully expect the knife to continue to perform like it did with that tomato. John

John, glad you're liking the knife. I feel the extra time spent putting the edge on using SIC stone will pay off in performance and ease of maintenance.
