I forged this one for the backpacker, conoeist, hunter or for just a nice little carry.
Forged from 1095 high carbon steel
Flat grind with forged texture on the flats
The blade is slightly over 1/8 inch thick at the choil and distal tapers to the point and butt
Heat treating was done in my Evenheat furnace using three normalizing and two tempering cycles for a Rc hardness of 58-60 with attention to a fine grain throughout the blade
Total weight of the knife and scabbard is 7.3 ounces
Stabilized maple handle
Overall length: 8 inches
Blade: 3 3/4 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
