Curious to know would battoning be too much for the pins and glue to handle. I mean, would smacking the spine create enough shock to stress the pins and dislodge the glue and loosen the handle. I'm talking about both knifes here.

These look like super cutters, thin stock, flat , thin grind, hardened for edge stability, they aren't made for batoning IMHO. Not too many makers cite thickness behind the adge and that's a pity. I'd jump on the first one if I weren't in the middle of other things.

Thanks Bogan. redtide the handle construction is very very strong. The knife was not designed for battoning due to the edge geometry and hardness. But thanks for your interest.

Please take your "How To" and "Why did you" questions to Shoptalk please. If you have feedback for the maker that is more than welcome, but questions other than that do not belong. I wish I'd have had one of these the last time we went hunting. I bet it would have made short work out of some White Tails. Nice work!
