Hello to All, I have hear my latest creation fresh from my shop. I think it is very cool and I hope you do too. I like to think that because of the palm swell I incorporate into my handles that it adds a lot of comfort and it looks right too. This one is especially comfortable and just melts into the hand. For me it is a hard knife to put down and I think you would think so too.
The blade is 154CM .131 thick and 3.875 from tip to guard. O/A is 8.5 in. Polished and hand rubbed to 1200 grit.
Guard is of nickel silver and carefully silver soldered with NO! pin holes.
Handle is African Blackwood with fossil Walrus ivory, and very uniformly fluted 7075 aircraft aluminum spacers that are finely sanded and polished. Pammel is also 7075 aluminum. This knife is very solidly built.
Sheath is 8-9 ounce hand tooled and hand stitched leather built by myself. An ole leather Guy once told me that he always tries to make the sheath around the spirit of the knife. May sound strange to some but I have always tried to do just that. He is a much more accomplished leather guy than I. That ole Guy is one of the best kind of people you will every meat.
